L'importanza che ha la ricerca per il Museo della Città è garanzia di crescita costante e di attenzione per il proprio patrimonio storico-artistico. La promozione della ricerca scientifica si concretizza nell'attività del Centro Studi e Documentazione sulle Collezioni Civiche, ospitato all'interno del Museo stesso.

The importance of research for the City Museum guarantees the constant growth and attention for our historical and artistic heritage. The promotion of scientific research is realized with the activities of the Civil Collection Studies and Documentation Center that is located inside of the Museum.

Creato nel 2003 dall’amministrazione comunale con lo scopo di raccogliere il materiale proveniente dalla ricerca e dalla schedatura del patrimonio storico-artistico di proprietà civica, il Centro impiega tecnologie informatiche e professionalità tecnico-scientifiche per indagare sul patrimonio comunale, e permetterne un’efficace valorizzazione in linea con la legislazione corrente in merito ai beni culturali (d.lgs. n. 42/2004, art. 18).

The Civil Collection Studies and Documentation Center was created in 2003 by the regional administration with the goal to collect historic and artistic heritage research materials that will remain civil property. The Center employs computer technology and scientific and technical expertise to investigate regional heritage and allows an effective evaluation that is in line with the current legislation in regards to cultural assets (d.lgs. n. 42/2004, art. 18).

Le informazioni raccolte sono ordinate dal Centro in apposite banche dati informatiche, nel quadro del programma S.I.R.Be.C. (sistema informativo regionale dei beni culturali) della Regione Lombardia, consultabili dal pubblico presso gli uffici del Centro.

The collected materials are organized by the Center in appropriate data information banks, within the Lombardy S.I.R.Be.C. (Regional Information System of Cultural Values) program tables. They are available to the public at our Civil Collection Studies and Documentation Center offices.
